Updates

It’s been a while since I’ve updated you guys on here, but if your follow any of my other social media platforms, than you already know what I’ve been up to… writing.

Writing Book Two of the Rockford University series to be exact, which if you saw my last Newsletter, you know the book is going to follow Zeke Harris.

That being said, I’ve been positing on my socials kind of updating you on my progress thus far in terms of future books. One of my posts showed a poster board that lays out the full events of books 1-3 and then a large chunk of book 4, or in other words, what I consider the Junior year breakdown, since a lot of the characters we met in book one are in their junior year. The posterboard starts in August of their Junior year and then ends in August right before their senior year begins, so approximately twelve months of events.

If you haven’t already put two and two together, based on my last Newsletter, events in All of Your Scars, and my updates on my different social media platforms, this series will have a lot of overlapping timelines.

Now, what does that mean exactly?

That means, Zeke’s book, the second book in the series, doesn’t pick right up from where book one left off. We go back in time, starting right around the end of September of their junior year, a couple weeks prior to the first hockey game of the season. If you’ve read book one already, you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, you’ll understand once you do. Without spoiling anything, but giving you a little bit more insight into what I mean by overlapping (if you’re still confused), in book one Declan shows up late to the first game of the season and almost doesn’t get to play.

Yes, we are going back that far. We are jumping back in time to a world where SPOILER:

Ember and Declan haven’t even gotten together yet. Where Declan never picked up the phone regarding Zeke’s mom. Where Ember never found out the truth… etc.

END SPOILER

This means, we might experience some events from other character’s perspectives, which I am very excited about. This mean we might get to see some of the events mentioned in book one, that we didn’t actually see, like movie nights with the guys or Brinley always making them dinner. And many more events from book one that you were hoping to see happen, but heard about instead.

Like, how did Zeke taking Ember to the hockey banquet actually come about?

That is what I mean when I say overlapping timelines, and book two won’t be the only time we do this. I will try writing these stories as clear as possible so there is no confusion, but that’s one of the large reasons why I’ve labeled the story monthly, to kind of help you as a reader understand that event N in book one is taking place at the same time as event H in book two which is also occurring at the same time as event C in book three.

I’ve mentioned this a little bit in the past about the overlapping, but hopefully you guys will be able to easily understand it, and won’t be confused when things that have already happened are occurring again.

Now, moving on from that, if you haven’t already figured it out, I am excited to announce that there will be SEVEN books in The Rockford University series.

That sounds like a lot… it is a lot. Mentally, I’m already dreading introducing half of these characters, but I’m so excited to tell each of their stories.

I won’t be disclosing whose book happens when anytime soon, you won’t find out what character book three follows until after the release of the second book, you won’t know the main character in book four until after book three releases, and so on and so forth.

However, before I even announce who the next book will follow, if you’ve read the previous book, it’s typically gonna be pretty obvious who is getting the next book. If you read All of Your Scars, without spoiling anything, I think it was quite clear who the second book was going to follow. I plan on doing that with every book, giving a little hint to the next book, but even with the hint presented, most of the books won’t pick up right at where the previous book ends (as I mentioned earlier for Zeke’s book), however, that doesn’t mean it won’t happen.

The last piece of information I’m going to leave you with, incase it wasn’t already clear, was the official announcement for who will be getting a book in The Rockford U series. This isn’t the order of when their books will come out. You can do with this information what you’d like. You can assume what will happen in their books, what the tropes may be, which book certain characters will share, if you know what I mean. That’s all up to you. I am not saying anything else. (Although, I think it’s already pretty clear from book one)

CHARACTERS GETTING A BOOK:

Ember Bowman and Declan Sanderson (All of Your Scars- Book One– Out Now)

Zeke Harris and Avalon Stewart (Untitled- Book Two– 2024)

Campbell Bowman, Brinley Sanderson, Fletcher Reed, Carter Brooks, Maia Parker, Jaxon Holmes, Tatum Lewis and Jeremy Moore.

Until then, I absolutely love hearing from you, so please continue to send me messages, theories, ask me questions. I will respond to everything when I can and if I can. If I can’t, I’ll probably tease you with an answer without saying anything at all.

Happy Reading!
